Lower Pottsgrove Township is a suburban community of
approximately
12,700 located within a municipal planning area with
more than 80,000 residents.
Within a few blocks there are many
local venues of interest, as well as restaurants,
a hospital, shopping facilities, and more.
Two local attractions are shown here: SunnyBrook
Ballroom and Facilities and Sanatoga Park. |

SunnyBrook Ballroom and Facilities
The
history of the Sunnybrook ballroom began operation in 1931
showcasing bands and vocalists of the “Big Band” and swing
era—from Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, to
Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, and Frank Sinatra, all
of whom performed
at Sunnybrook.

In recent years the ballroom
was closed, but recently the
Sunnybrook Foundation has developed plans to re-open the
ballroom for fundraising events and begin their capital campaign
to target the renovation and restoration of the restaurant
facilities, as well as the exterior grounds and beautification
of the Sunnybrook premises.
It promises to soon be
an exciting venue again.
When renovations are
complete this famous entertainment attraction promises to
generate visitors and customers from the greater Philadelphia
area for day and even overnight trips. The Sanatoga Village
shopping area is very close and convenient for these expected
visitors.
The
Sunnybrook Ballroom and Facilities,
which is nearing
completion, are located on High Street,
one mile from the Sanatoga Village Properties.

Sanatoga Park
Sanatoga Park features a scenic
lake and dam. In addition to its beauty, the lake is a popular fishing
spot and home to the township's annual "Fishing Derby."
Overlooking
the park is a band shell, which is home to weekly summer concerts, at
dusk—one
of the most beautiful times to visit the lake.
The park is located
approximately one mile east of Sanatoga Village Properties. |
